The Book has been written. The book has been published. Now what? When you self-publish a book, the next step is the actual marketing of the book. That’s where I am right now. It’s a place that’s not very comfortable for me because I’m not big on self-promotion. And without a major publishing house behind me, it’s a challenge!

I’m not adept at self-promotion. I know people are, and we see it in the celebrity world on a daily basis. There are people who happen to pay huge sums of money for publicity and promotion. In fact, there are people with absolutely no talent whatsoever who are big name celebrities. It’s all in the marketing!

So that brings me to the question of what am I doing to promote and successfully market The Adventures of Kitt the Kid? I am truthfully taking baby steps. Family and friends have the book. People have purchased it. It’s been word of mouth so far. For that I’m grateful.

I have a very cool website, kittthekid.com. There’s also a Facebook Page. And of course it’s on Twitter. Lots of computer work going on here! And I’m not the most computer-savvy person in the world. I’m slowly but surely learning. This is an adventure, and adventures take time!
